he company, a member of Dubai Holding Group, called for an intelligent network infrastructure that eliminates network complexity, encourages productivity, and reduces total cost of ownership. In order to create an agile and efficient network foundation with increased scalability, faster connectivity, service automation and enhanced security, the company deployed Juniper’s MetaFabric™ data center architecture. Juniper’s local partner EMWme, integrated Juniper’s MetaFabric solution into storage, virtualization, load balancing and open-stack orchestration.

The deployment consists of Juniper’s switching, routing and security solutions, creating an online platform to underpin the organization’s key business objective of first-class customer service.

Juniper’s Virtual Chassis Fabric with EX Series Ethernet Switches and QFX Series Switches help Jumeirah Group to enhance application performance and provide easier data center management for increased efficiency and reduced operating costs, consolidating many services with a higher level of control and visibility, while routing technology interconnects multiple data center locations and moves data efficiently between data centers and virtual and physical networks.

The Jumeirah Group enhanced its overall security measure by placing its services into a fully controlled environment which enables better protection of services from attack. The organisation selected Juniper’s SRX Series Services Gateways for high-performance network security. The company also chose DDOS Secure to build a multi-layered protective wall that prevents and stops attacks, making sure business critical and guests’ confidential data is safe.

The overall result of the solution is a unified data center network with automation, flexibility, security and scalability required for business-critical data center. The solution is expected to increase the overall performance of critical applications by 10 fold to enable Jumeirah Group’s business growth in the next five to ten years. It is also expecting to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) by 30 percent over 5 years.
