EMW, Inc. of Fairfax,
Virginia, USA, is pleased to announce the award of a new contract from the NATO
Consultation, Command and Control Agency (NC3A) to EMW to provide Security Tools
for the NATO Computer Incident Response Centre (NCIRC).
The
NCIRC is being established by NATO at the NATO Information Security (INFOSEC)
Command at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), Belgium to serve
as a support center for prevention of and response to Computer incidents on NATO
owned and operated networks.
This contract was awarded as the result of a
competitive procurement under NC3A’s Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) procurement
procedures. EMW is one of over 250 companies from the 26 NATO Nations which hold
a NATO BOA.
Under the terms of the contract, EMW will provide a limited
suite of hardware and software tools for an initial operational capability at
the NCIRC for Network Vulnerability Scanning and for System Vulnerability
Scanning and Forensics.
On this contract, EMW is serving as the prime
contractor with LogicaCMG UK Limited of the United Kingdom serving as EMW’s
subcontractor for specialty software and support services. The contract will be
managed by Dr. Kamal Raychaudhuri, EMW Director of Technology, under the
direction of Mr. Alan Fulton, EMW Vice President of Operations. EMW’s Belgian
Subsidiary Managing Director, Mr. Xavier Duyck, will provide acquisition,
integration, testing and deployment support to the project from the EMW Office
in Ghent, Belgium.
The value of the contract is approximately $600, 000
for the Initial Operational Capability.
